The Engineering business unit, including SGN and Mecachimie, belongs to AREVA NC.
With more than 50 years of involvement in the development of the nuclear power industry, SGN is recognised as one of the world leader engineering. SGN was set up in 1952 for the design and the construction of the first nuclear fuel facilities in France. Since then, the company has designed and built numerous nuclear facilities related to the fuel cycle and the radioactive waste management all over the world.
SGN is a key nuclear engineering firm, recognised for its experience and its capacity to manage major investment projects in the front end and the back end of the nuclear fuel cycle. It also provides services for nuclear waste processing and conditioning, for site decontamination and the decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
The SGN’s headquarter is located in Saint Quentin en Yvelines close to Paris. In addition, operational engineering offices are located in La Hague vicinity, in Pierrelatte and in Bagnols sur Cèze.
