Школа организуется вместе ОБЪЕДИНЕННЫМ ИНСТИТУТОМ ЯДЕРНЫХ ИССЛЕДОВАНИЙ Дубна и Исследовательским Центром в Юлихе с содействием DBE TECHNOLOGY GmbH и рассчитана на студенты высших курсов, аспирантов и молодых ученных.  

1st International Summer School on Principles of Radiation Protection & Safe Radioactive Waste Management

The idea behind this summer school is to bring together postdocs, graduate and doctoral students in the field of radiation biology & nuclear safety science and experts in this field from Russia, Germany and other countries and encourage discussions and information exchange

This summer school will introduce young scientists (to non-experts) into issues of:

• Radiation Protection,
• Nuclear Safety & Radioactive Waste Management,
• Waste Characterisation, Nuclear Sustainability & Innovative Techniques,
• Radiochemistry, Radiation & Health & Other Themes
• Radioecology, Radiation & Space Biology

This summer school is jointly organized by the  LRBexternal link, opens in a new tab, Laboratory of Radiation Biology, at the  JINRexternal link, opens in a new tab, Joint Institute of nuclear Research, in Dubna, Russia, and the IEF-6, Institute of Energy Research, Safety Research and Reactor Technology, at the  Forschungszentrum Jülichexternal link, opens in a new tab, Germany. The summer school may well be the start of a series to continue.

Target audience

Workshop for students, post-graduate, Ph.D.-students and post-docs with interest and background in radiation biology, radiation protection, nuclear engineering, geo- / nuclear chemistry or physics and related subject.

The total of 50 students can be accommodated, approx. 25 from Russia and JINR member states and approx. 25 from Germany
