The Organizing and Program Committees invite you to take part in the XXII Russian Particle Accelerator Conference RuPAC-2010.

Goal

Goal of the event is to facilitate information interchange and discussion of various aspects of accelerator science and technology, beam physics, new accelerator development, upgrade of existing facilities, and use of accelerators for basic and applied research.

Dates

The Conference will be held in the period of September 27 - October 1, 2010.

Location

The Conference will take place in the Institute for High Energy Physics (IHEP) located in Protvino, Moscow region, some 120 km southward of Moscow. The expected attendance is around 250 persons. The participants will be accommodated in the local hotel PROTVA.

Conference schedule

The Conference timetable foresees invited review reports (40 min), oral presentations (20 min), and poster (140 x 70 cm^2) sessions. The official languages are Russian and English. There will be no simultaneous translation in either direction. Texts of posters and slides should be typed in English, while oral talks by the domestic participants will be, basically, reported in Russian.

To be included into the Conference program, abstracts in English (in *.doc format) must be submitted before 31.05.2010. The authors will be informed of the decision of the Program Committee on admittance and form of presentation of their reports after 01.07.2010.

Publications

The list of participants, titles of papers, and abstracts will be available on the Conference website http://www.ihep.su/RuPAC2010/external link, opens in a new tab. The Conference Proceedings (in English) will be published in the Joint Accelerator Conference Website (JACOW) http://accelconf.web.cern.ch/accelconf/external link, opens in a new tab. All participants will get a CD copy of the Proceedings. Hard copies will be made available for an additional fee.

Admitted reports (1 electron version + 1 paper hard copy) should be submitted to the Organizing Committee on the first day of the Conference. The reports from the FSU countries have to comply with the existing PR rules. Applicants should pass the preliminary registration procedure on the Conference web-site http://www.ihep.su/RuPAC2010/ external link, opens in a new tab by filling the relevant form (in preparation). Conference fee

The fee would cover organizing expenses, an electron CD copy of the Proceedings, a Conference set, coffee and tea breaks, a welcome party and a banquet.

For participants from Russia and FSU we foresee the registration fee at the level of 3 000 RUR bearing in mind a possible support from Russian official organizations and funding bodies. We also expect a partial or even total discount for young scientists and students (to this end, a special application will be required).

For foreign participants the registration fee is equal to 15 000 RUR and 5 000 RUR for an accompanying person. This fee also covers transportation to and from Moscow International Airports that will be arranged on demand.

The fee will be accepted in cash (in RUR only) during registration upon arrival.

Participants should pay hotel accommodation expenses and daily meals in cash (RUR) on a personal basis.
