The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, (JINR) (Dubna, Russia), the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) (Geneva, Switzerland) and the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (INRNE) (Sofia, Bulgaria) organize the XXIII International Symposium on Nuclear Electronics and Computing (NEC'2011). It will be held in Bulgaria, Varna, 12-19 September, 2011.

The main topics of the symposium are:

  •     Detector & Nuclear Electronics;
  •     Accelerator and Experiment Automation Control Systems. Triggering and Data Acquisition.
  •     Computer Applications for Measurement and Control in Scientific Research;
  •     Methods of Experimental Data Analysis;
  •     Data & Storage Management. Information & Data Base Systems;
  •     GRID & Cloud computing. Computer Networks for Scientific Research;
  •     LHC Computing;
  •     Innovative IT Education: Experience and Trends.

A participation of leading specialists in nuclear electronics and computing from Europe and the United States of America with invited review and topical lectures is planned. The symposium aims to stimulate the further development of investigations in the fields of nuclear electronics and computing for the purposes of physical research and the more close cooperation between JINR, CERN and INRNE. An important task of the symposium is to encourage participation in the symposium of a number of young specialists from Central and East European countries including Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Czech and Slovak Republics, Serbia, Croatia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan. Concurrently with the symposium it is also expected to organize the international school on information technologies at the facilities of the Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" (the detailed information will be announced later).
