В настоящее время Тяньваньская АЭС является одной из самых безопасных в мире. Срок службы АЭС - 40 лет, средняя загрузка реактора не менее 80%, колличество ежегодно вырабатываемой энергии - 14 млрд кв/ч
Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation was established on December 18, 1997,mainly responsible for the construction and operation of Tianwan NPP. The corporation consists of following three shareholders: China National Nuclear Corporation (50% share), China Power Investment Corporation (30%) and Jiangsu Guoxin Group (20%).
TNPP is a large scale cooperation project in the nuclear energy in accordance with an inter-government agreement concluded between China and Russia in December 1992, which is listed as key nuclear project in the 9th Five Year Plan. The plant is located in Tianwan, Gaogongdao, Lianyun District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. The construction of four 1000MW units is schemed in two phase. In the first phase, two Russian AES-91 type units are adopted, which started with the first concrete on October 20, 1999, and will be completed and put into commercial operation by the end of 2005.
The Russian AES-91 type unit is an improved concept based on the experience of design, construction and operation of WWER-1000/320 series, absorbing the advanced technologies from western PWR, conforming with the existing international requirements in nuclear and radiation safety and China nuclear safety codes and standards. The plant also adopts integrated digital I&C system of Siemens, Germany. The plant safety design and comprehensive technical indices commensurate with those of PWR units being constructed in the world. The construction cost per kilowatt and operation cost of the project are being kept low, while of excellent economics.
TNPP installed capacity is 2x1060MW and design life 40 years, the annual average load factor is no less than 80% and annual generated electricity 14 billion kWh.
